Bastardos Sympaticos
Bastardos Sympaticos was first set at motion around the turn of the millennium in Cologne Germany, by a Finnish born uke-addict Juha. Life kicked the project around Europe, first to Finland and then through Holland back to Germany, where Bonn based music-producer Johnny Y, joined the project.
urrently the Bastardos Sympaticos exist only as a session-band, locked-up deep in the sound-proofed chambers of Johnny's studio, but will be set free to tour the European uke-scene by summer 2008 when the first CD is due to be released. Two J's are both multi-instrumentalists, but in the studio as well as on the stage they are supported by an exquisite selection of some of the finest roots, blues, folk and bluegrass musicians ever to evolve from the old continent.
After discovering that "if your instrument has more strings than your hand has fingers, you are likely to make other mistakes in life, too..." Juha hung up his guitars and devoted his musical life to the ukulele. Sometimes you might catch him squeezing on a good ole' diatonic Cajun accordion. Juha also works as a Professor of Ukeology at the Clown-Doctor Academy and is an established uke-instructor and artist.
Johnny is an established music producer, multi-instrumentalist and the master of the knobs. He's a full-bloodied studio-freak who spends countless hours locked away from the day-light in the mixing-room, only to find that right sound to suit the composition.
Bastardos Sympaticos like good people who drink good beer !
The Hello Song is the theme song of the European Ukulele Festival 2008. First CD is due to be released by spring 2009.
